Wildflowers Planted in Cross Flatts Park

A grant from Love Leeds Parks funded the installation of an information board and wildflower border by Friends of Cross Flatts Park.

During lockdown many more people discovered Cross Flatts Park for their exercise, for walking their dogs and for their children to play. The existing features of the park are much appreciated by local residents and can only be enhanced by the addition of the wildflower meadow.

The information board will encourage more people to utilise the fantastic features of the park. Whilst the board was being installed, a passer-by commented ‘I had no idea there were all these things in the park. I could bring my grandchildren to the playground’.

Our Give a Little Back campaign is your chance to gives something park to parks and green spaces in Leeds. Donations will support a wide variety of community-led projects to improve local green spaces, like this project in Cross Flatts Park.
