Shelter Project Completed in Boston Spa Park

Congratulations to Boston Spa Parish Council on the completion of their project, funded by a grant from the Leeds Parks Fund.

A new shelter has been installed in Stables Lane Community Park, to provide cover for visitors to the newly created green space.

Volunteers assisted with managing the project, which was delayed by the COVID-19 crisis but commenced when lockdown restrictions began to ease over the summer.

The project has helped to reinforce relationships with local sports clubs, for whom the shelters will provide cover for spectators during games. This will allow the park to be enjoyed, even during periods of poor weather.

Last year we were able to distribute grants totalling £23,000 to 13 groups thanks to donations from Leeds businesses and park users.
