Meanwood Park path restoration

When Love Leeds Parks heard that a section of the Meanwood Valley trail in Meanwood Park was becoming increasingly muddy and difficult to walk on, we were delighted to be able to provide funding for it to be resurfaced.

Work started on Tuesday 17th for 4 days with a group of volunteers who all gathered together to carry out the necessary footpath repairs in Meanwood Park.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers for devoting their time, effort and hard work including, Meanwood Park, Park Keeper Lee, Meanwood Valley Rangers and Corporate Volunteer Groups: Balfour Beatty and Plusnet.
Thank you also to David Preston, the Countryside Ranger from Leeds Parks and Countryside Service, for organising everything. You’ve all done a fantastic job and the new path looks amazing!
