Highfield Methodist Church brings popular fun run back to Wortley.

After an extended hiatus, members of Highfield Methodist Church were delighted to be able to revive their previously popular annual fun run in 2024.

Thirty residents aged 5 to 88 years old registered to run, walk, or toddle around New Wortley Recreation Ground, cheered on by more than fifty friends, family, and neighbours.

Upon completion of the run, participants were invited back to the church to collect their medals and enjoy refreshments together. With community at its heart, this event engaged residents of all ages in conversation, camaraderie and appreciation of their local park.

This activity was funded by Love Leeds Parks through our Community Parks Activity Grants scheme. This scheme was made possible by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and with thanks to National Lottery Players.
