Leeds parks say ‘HelloHipHop’ with Spot Park Jam

Hello Hip Hop has been supporting children across Leeds to lead happier, healthier, and safer lifestyles since 2018.

With the support of Love Leeds Parks, the Hello Hip Hop team were able to take their creative workshops out into the city’s parks in 2024.  

Spot Park Jam was designed to uplift the community and bridge generational gaps through creative arts and organic sustainability. The pilot event saw the disused tennis courts of Harehills Park transformed into a flourish event space where 140 residents exercised their creativity through graffiti art, dance, and planting workshops.

Following the resounding success of this first event, Spot Park Jam was then taken to The Rein Park in Seacroft. Here, 85 children and adults alike were offered the opportunity to take inspiration from a professional artist, with a live demonstration and Q&A session.
