Harehills Action Team guides residents to re-discover ‘hidden gem’.

Harehills Action Team is a local community group that strives to foster community pride, increase volunteering, and co-create a sustainable environment in the Harehills neighbourhood.

Last September, the group invited residents of all ages to join them for the ‘Hare of the Hills’ event, a guided stroll offering a friendly, safe space for residents to explore and learn more about their local park.

This was a creative guided walk where thirty residents enjoyed forming new connections with their neighbours and using photography prompts to capture and celebrate their local green heritage. Residents learnt more about the facilities on offer, enjoyed games and participated in an interactive hip hop workshop with the Balbir Singh Dance Company.
