Friends of Stanningley Park light up their community with lantern parade.

Friends of Stanningley Park is a group of Stanningley residents committed to supporting the improvement of their local park. 

In November 2024, the volunteer group delivered their inaugural community lantern parade in Stanningley Park. More than 300 residents of all ages took part in a fabulous display of light and creativity. There was music, dancing, and laughter shared between neighbours, as they celebrated their community and built new connections with each other.

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by attendees, and the community expressed their thanks to the volunteers whose had work brought the park to life.
