Community Learning Partnerships brings family fun to Harehills Park.

Community Learning Partnership is a Leeds-based charity, working to reduce deprivation and improve wellbeing by engaging residents in a positive way, through the provision of learning, skills and personal development opportunities.

In May 2024, the Community Learning Partnerships team were joined by fifty children and their caregivers for a family fun day at Harehills Park, as part of their Single Parent Power programme. The event offered free activities to tackle social isolation and promote family health and wellbeing, such as yoga, arts and crafts, and educational nature trails.

Alongside these activities, the event featured a reading corner for children, supported by a local author who delivered a live reading of his book. Children attending the event were gifted books to take home with them, with thanks to a generous donation from a local estate agent. Families were also connected with the Active Leeds and Parks teams present, to learn more about their local green spaces and share their views on plans for new facilities.
